These are the guiding principles I promise to deliver when elected as President of KSSG: Continuation, Communication, Collaboration and Commitment. I will work for you by utilizing my extensive Harvard experience and practical skillset that no other candidate can offer. I'm offering my experience to help improve your experience here at HKS.
Continuation
I will work to ensure the continuity of the work initiated by last year's administration. I have worked with the past two (full-term) KSSG presidents and HKS student leaders. I worked closely with last year's president (Sherry Hakimi) and saw first hand the challenges faced at HKS. I am offering my experience to improve your experience at HKS. I will also ensure the institutional knowledge from the executive board and myself will be recorded to ensure long-term success of our government.
Communication
The most precious commodity an HKS student has is time. We are all extremely busy, constantly bombarded with information. In order to get the most out of your Harvard experience, you need a student government that will hear your concerns and provide concise, clear communication which will be effective for the community at large. Not only will I ensure the launch of the new communications platforms (that began last year) and initiatives, I will bring my specific and applicable skills (as a past designer and communications VP Harvard-wide) to ensure the system is effective.
Collaboration
From the moment we arrive at HKS, we are segmented into smaller and smaller groups of classes, years, and cohorts. We need more integration within our HKS community and the other schools at Harvard. Some of the most impactful conversations I have had since arriving to HKS have been with students from other degree programs. The importance of collaboration between the different Kennedy School programs - as well as integration with other Harvard graduate schools - is essential to give you a full Harvard experience. Under my leadership, all KSSG events and programming will be catered to integration across our diverse student body, and I will ensure HKS students are given more opportunities to connect with other Harvard grad students. I can make this happen. I already have been making this happen. I am the proven candidate who has been bringing together students from across Harvard for the past two years.
Commitment
Finally, as President of KSSG I will be fully committed to working for you, utilizing my extensive experience, drive and a track record of getting things done. Big ideas and enticing initiatives are irrelevant without effective leadership, accountability, transparency, and execution. I am the proven candidate who will bring all the above. At Harvard I have managed everything from planning major events to toiling over semantics of by-laws. My record of involvement and dedication speaks for itself.
No other candidate can offer the same distinctive combination of Harvard experiences, Harvard student government insight, energy, dedication, leadership ability, creativity, passion, technological expertise, branding experience & business background that I bring to the table.
